APACT® 4004

APACT® 4004 is used to study platelet aggregation in vitro in humans as well as in different animal models, including mice.

It operates with an integrated microprocessor and is composed of 4 independent measuring chambers equipped with magnetic stirrers with adjustable speed.

Osmometer Löser

The Löser cryoscopic osmometer is used to measure the osmalarite / osmolality of any solution.

Principle

Determination of the osmolarity of aqueous solutions by measuring the freezing point.

  • Pure water solidifies at 0°C, a solution at 1 mOsm / kg solidifies at -1.858°C.
  • The sample is cooled by Peltier effect in the measuring chamber.

Possible applications

  • Transfusion center: control of the physico-chemical properties of the blood and derivatives, determination of the residual glycerol after thawing.
  • Cell culture, biochemistry, marine biology, plant physiology.

PFA100 Siemens

The Siemens PFA100 system performs automated detection of hereditary platelet disorders acquired or caused by platelet inhibitors. It measures the process of primary haemostasis and promotes rapid detection of its alterations.
This system makes it possible to work under conditions of high shear forces, simulating in vitro the hemodynamic conditions of platelet adhesion and aggregation following vascular injury.
