Monique Freund holds a doctorate on the study of the antithrombotic effects of recombinant hirudin in animal models supported in 1992 at the University of Strasbourg (France) under the direction of Professor Jean-Pierre Cazenave. In 1994 she obtained the Graduate Certificate in Animal Science Laboratory (CES SCIAL) at the Veterinary School of Lyon. Appointed a research engineer at EFS Alsace in 1992 she is the head of the establishment user of animals for scientific purposes of the UMR_S949. His areas of expertise are animal models of thrombosis and bleeding. His research project remains the understanding of venous thromboembolic diseases, namely deep thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
