Catherine Angenieux obtained her doctorate in 2001 at the University of Strasbourg, Strasbourg, France under the direction of Daniel Hanau in the INSERM U725 team at EFS-Alsace in Strasbourg, France. During her thesis, she was interested in the study of the CD1e molecule – subcellular localization and transport, immunological function, molecular interactions. Appointed Research Engineer in 2001 in the INSERM U725 team at EFS-Alsace in Strasbourg, France, she is currently collaborating with Henri de la Salle. His current research topics focus on the study of the RNA content of murine platelets. In parallel, named INSERM Prevention Assistant in 2005 and head of HSE at EFS-Alsace, she contributes to the definition, implementation and improvement of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management system. EFS-Alsace and within the INSERM U1255 team.
